Description:
Built by Alco-Brooks in September of 1918, this USRA heavyweight Mikado started out as CM&StP #8632 and carried that number until 1938 when it was given MILW 338 to use. The loco was retired in December of 1953 after nearly 35 years of service.. Specs - L3 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 320,000 lb and tractive effort of 62,949 lb. This is a Harold K. Vollrath photo.
