Album Info:This weekend, I took a trip to Oklahoma. There was a nasty rumor circulating from 2016 that a Chessie System engine was on the Blackwell Northern Gateway Railroad, in South Haven, Kansas. I didn't really believe it, but I was passing through South Haven (a really small town), so I thought I'd check. RUMOR CONFIRMED-IT'S STILL THERE!!! No idea whether it still runs or not, but it is on an active rail line, still in its Chessie colors! Additionally, I got pictures in Newton of trains going past the depot...as well as a shortline WAMX train taking a line that crossed over BNSF tracks. And, while in Oklahoma, I went by the Amtrak station in the morning and got shots there as well. Enjoy the album!
